Former Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon, healthy again, signed with the Seattle Seahawks after not playing since January 2025. He rushed for 1,016 yards in 2024 with Houston, but missed the entire 2025 season due to a foot-related medical condition. The Texans released him in March after originally signing him to a three-year, $27 million deal. Seattle, the defending Super Bowl champion, seek a back after rookie Jadarian Price was placed on injured reserve, and Mixon reportedly visited the team before the signing was confirmed. The move positions Seattle to bolster a backfield that has struggled to sustain a run game this season.
