Key Takeaways

• Nix’s performance in the 49ers game showed limited downfield efficiency with few air-yard completions early, contributing to Denver's 3.3 first-half points per game and highlighting a need to accelerate tempo.
• No-huddle work has yielded better results for Nix than a heavy, huddle-focused approach, with statistics indicating a clearer first-down conversion pattern when the tempo is faster.
• Replacing J.K. Dobbins on first down with RJ Harvey is proposed to address a drop in first-down yards this season, while Harvey’s 4.1-yard per carry and 9.7-yard per reception mark him as a versatile option.
• There is emphasis on targeting the middle of the field, where Nix has missed open receivers, as Harvey, Waddle, and Sutton have produced varied catch totals and Engram has been underutilized in some sequences.
